About Us

Kamengo is a "spin off" of the Bulk Materials Handling Group formed at the British Columbia Research Corporation (BCRC) in Vancouver, Canada in 1979.

The group carried out research and development in materials handling, preparation and conditioning systems, with emphasis on biomass materials.

R&D activities on biomass handling were largely funded by the Canadian Government's "Bioenergy Development Program", and resulted in a number of successful technologies, including the "Moving Hole" concept.

In 1991, Kamengo was "spun out" as a separate company to commercialize the technologies developed at the research center.
